Home Is Where The Heart Is

Writer: PreetumPreetum

I am here. I have arrived. I am home.

Because home is where the heart is. 💖

While many of us may not be able to go home for Thanksgiving weekend or celebrate the holidays as we would have in years past (thanks, COVID), I take comfort in knowing, and truly sensing that I am at peace, because I am finally at "home" in my own mind, body, and heart (thank you, mindfulness practice!)

Reflecting on this today, I realize Rupi Kaur's words, and the Zen proverb that follows, resonate today and in this year of constantly shifting and adapting to a new normal, now more than ever:

"It was when I stopped searching for home within others [and in other places], and lifted the foundations of home within myself, I found there were no roots more intimate than those between a mind and a body that have decided to be whole." -- Rupi Kaur

"Peace in my heart,

Peace in my soul.

Wherever I'm going,

I'm already home." -- Zen proverb
