All of this. ☝🏽
I always wear a mask and gloves on the odd occasions that I venture out. It's the easiest, most efficient way I know how demonstrate respect and compassion for my fellow human beings whose paths I may cross as we all navigate this pandemic-induced "new normal."
But as someone whose chronic autoimmune condition renders her immuno-compromised and therefore at higher risk for transmission and complications, (and know and love so many others who are similarly at heightened risk due to health conditions or age), I am eternally grateful for the kindness and generosity of my fellow Americans who also do their part to help keep others like us safe, and implore more to follow suit. If for no other reason, than the scientifically-proven "feel good high" and sense of connection one gets when operating from a place of kindness and generosity towards others. Last time I checked, something we could all use more of...mutually beneficial win-wins.
And if nothing else, can we not just see this as an opportunity to remember and uphold the Golden Rule...."Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"?
