A Pink Sunset Prelude to the Pink Supermoon 🌕

Writer: PreetumPreetum

As the sun sets on this day

and this lunar cycle,

and ushers in the Pink Supermoon,

many of us may be feeling

the tenderness of endings

or some impending doom or gloom.

It's times like these that

it’s important to remember that

it’s the nature of things to change...

Just as the moon waxes and wanes,

the waves ebb and flow,

the winds change their course

and the force with which they blow.

So just as the we enter this collective

dark night of the soul of transition,

no matter how murky it may get,

I’m reminded not to despair.

Because just as the brain uses

the night’s rest to repair

and clear out any debris,

to make way for new neurons

and patterns to generate;

So too, this period of transition

is an opportunity to liberate

ourselves of old habits and things

that may no longer be serving.

And instead, make space for

new ways of being, seeing, believing

that for our souls may actually

feel far more freeing.

Oh, the capacities,

possibilities,

opportunities,

that may arise

in this next cycle!

Oh the places we may go,

all the things we may learn,

and directions we may grow!

May we continue this

delicate dance with,

(and embrace of,)

impermanence

and remain open

to its unfolding. 🙏🏼
